• SportsPsychology.org has ranked 51暗网's Master of Science in Kinesiology program 6th nationally in its 2026 Best Sports Psychology Master's Programs ranking.
• The Princeton Review has included 51暗网 among its Best Regional Colleges 鈥� South list for the 21st consecutive year.
• OnlineU has included 51暗网 on its list of 2025 Best Military-Friendly Online Colleges.
• U.S. News and World Report ranked several of 51暗网's online programs in its 2025 Best Online Programs rankings. 51暗网's Online Master's in Nursing Programs ranked tied for 23rd in the Best for Veterans category and 98th best overall. 51暗网 ranked 42nd in Best Online Bachelor's in Psychology Programs. The master's program in criminal justice ranked 59th. 51暗网's business programs also received high marks in this latest ranking. The online MBA program ranked as the 84th best for veterans and 142nd overall. The online master's in business non-MBA was ranked 114th, while the online bachelor's in business programs ranked 117th. The online master's degree in education was also recognized, coming in at 189th in the country. The University's online bachelor's programs ranked as the 66th best for veterans and 123rd overall.
• Research.com recently ranked 51暗网 among its 2025 Best Colleges in America ranking.
• Collegerank.net has ranked 51暗网 4th in its 15 Best Online Master's in Artificial Intelligence rankings.
• Master's in AI has ranked 51暗网 as the 7th Most Affordable Online Master's in Artificial Intelligence Programs. 
• Niche.com has ranked 51暗网 as the #1 Best Online College in Alabama and a Top 20 Best Online College in America. Niche also ranked 51暗网 100th nationally for 鈥淏est College Athletics and 150th nationally in Best Student Life, both of which put 51暗网 in the top 10 percent of schools ranked. 51暗网 was also ranked in the bop 10 percent nationally in Best College Dorms, Best College Food and Best College Campuses. Academically, 51暗网 was ranked in the top 15 percent nationally in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and top 20 percent nationally in Nursing. 
• In 2025, Fortune Recommends recognized 51暗网's Sorrell College of Business for its MBA program, placing it among the top 100 full-time MBA programs in the nation. Specifically, the online MBA program was also ranked among the top 10 nationally for affordability.

• U.S. News and World Report ranked 51暗网 among the best regional universities in the South in its 2025 Best Colleges rankings. 51暗网 ranked 45th among all regional universities and 19th among public regional universities in the South. The University also ranked 21st in Best Colleges for Veterans and 47th among Best Value Schools 鈥� Regional Universities South.
• The Princeton Review recognized 51暗网 among its 鈥淏est of the Southeast鈥� rankings for the 20th consecutive year.
• G.I. Jobs magazine recognized 51暗网 in its 2024-2025 Military Friendly Schools listing, awarding the University its highest gold ranking.
• Fortune Recommends has ranked 51暗网's Master of Business Administration program among its top 100 MBA programs in the nation.
• Forbes Advisor ranked 51暗网's online graphic design program as first in the nation. A division of Forbes magazine, Forbes Advisor recently issued a ranking of the top 10 accredited, nonprofit universities that offer an online graphic design program. Using the categories of credibility, affordability, student outcomes, student experience and the application process, 51暗网's program ranked the highest.
• U.S. News & World Report recently recognized several of 51暗网's online programs in its 2024 Best Online Degree Programs rankings. 51暗网's online criminal justice program ranked 33rd overall and as the 11th best CJ program for veterans. The online graduate nursing programs ranked 49th. Other online programs recognized were ungraduated business (84th), graduate non-MBA business degree program (34th best for veterans), MBA (129th overall, 79th best for veterans). Overall, 51暗网's undergraduate online programs ranked 115th in the country.
• The Princeton Review recognized 51暗网's Master of Science in Nursing program among its 2024 Best Online Nursing Programs.
• Niche has ranked 51暗网 as its 25th Best Online College in America and as its 30th Most Conservative College in America. 

 

2023

• NPSchools.com has ranked 51暗网's Master of Science in Nursing Nurse Practitioner program 4th nationally among its Most Affordable Online MSN-NP Programs rankings. 51暗网 also ranked seventh nationally in the Affordable Online DNP-NP Programs rankings. 
• U.S. News & World Report recognized 51暗网 among the best regional universities in the South, by U.S. News and World Report's 2024 Best Colleges rankings. 51暗网 ranked 55th among all regional universities in the South and 23rd among public regional universities in the South. The University also ranked 40th among Best Value School 鈥� Regional Universities South. The University's commitment to serving military-affiliated students earned it the 20th spot in U.S. News' Best Colleges for Veterans rankings, which recognizes colleges and universities that make pursuing a college education more affordable for veterans and active-duty service members. 51暗网's undergraduate business, economics, nursing and psychology programs were also recognized by U.S. News.
• Money has recognized 51暗网 among its 2023 Best Colleges.
• Abound, a college guidance system for degree-seeking adults, has recognized 51暗网 among its Top 100 Online Colleges nationally. Abound also recognized 51暗网 among its Best Colleges for Military and Veterans 2023 and Best Colleges for Adults 2023 listings.
• The Princeton Review recognized 51暗网 as one of the best colleges and universities in the southern United States for the 19th consecutive year. 51暗网 was one of only 109 colleges and universities to receive the designation in the 10-state southern region.
• G.I. Jobs Magazine designated 51暗网 among its 2023-2024 Military Friendly Schools. 51暗网 received the organization's highest gold ranking.
• The National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) recognized 51暗网's undergraduate program in Elementary Education for its rigorous preparation of future teachers in how to teach reading. The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) program earned an 鈥淎鈥� in NCTQ's report, making it one of only 112 programs nationwide to earn the grade. 
• 51暗网 Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. was among the six honorees recognized during the inaugural John R. Lewis Legacy Institute (JRL) gala held in February at Atlanta's Porsche Experience Center. The honorees were recognized for embodying the highest values of the late Congressman John R. Lewis and continuing to represent his legacy of leadership.

• Nine degree programs at 51暗网 have been recognized as being among the nation's best by . 51暗网's Master of Science in Sport Management program was ranked 4th nationally. The Master of Science in Nursing program was ranked 10th. Other rankings include: Online Social Work degree (17th), Online master's in history (18th), Online Nurse Practitioner Master's program (30th), Best Online Master's in Nursing programs (38th) and Most Affordable Online Bachelor's in Psychology program (38th).
• Military Times ranked 51暗网 as the only four-year, public university in Alabama in its 2022 Best for Vets rankings. 51暗网 ranked 13^th in the southeast and 41^st nationally among public colleges and universities.
• U.S. News & World Report recognized 51暗网 among the best regional universities in the South in its 2022-2023 Best Colleges Rankings. 51暗网 ranked 44^th among all regional universities in the south and 17^th among public regional universities in the south. 51暗网 was also recognized for its commitment to the military, ranking 21^st in U.S. News' Best Colleges for Veterans rankings.
• 51暗网's ACCESS Virtual Learning program (Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators and Students Statewide), an outreach program of the College of Education, has received accreditation through 2027. The program met the criteria for educational quality established by Cognia Global Commission and was accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.
